Day 3: Almograve to Zambujeria 20 km






 Weather in Portugal’s south west coast continues to surprise us-is cold compared with what we expected —this morning 15 degrees Celsius!

But Sun shined all day and one of the travelers completed the entire 20 Km on aprox 6 hours. The other explores other avenues for a full understanding of the local vibe.

Zambujeira do Mar is a little town with white houses and small streets —-and many Nepalese businesses. Seems like many Asian people from Nepal and Bangladesh found a second home in Portugal.

Preparing ourselves

A few years ago, three of my former classmates and I decided that since we were scattered around the world, we could meet up in a different place every year. First, Barcelona was the location, then Madrid came, and now we are preparing for Faro. But in the meantime, Dalila asked if we wouldn’t continue with a little hiking after the meeting (with Maya and Paloma in addition to us)? From this came the plan to walk the Fisherman’s Trail, a more than 200 km long road along the Portuguese coast. We will write more about the details of the plan later, but right now I really just want to start the blog. I am writing our first post in 3 languages, just to indicate where our readers are from.
